Meadows Inn Romantic Escape Package - $316.00

Escape to charming New Bern for two nights of rest, relaxation and romance at Meadows Inn.  Two 2 day tickets to the Tryon Palace historic sites and gardens will fill your days.  Dine at New Bern's oldest downtown  restaurant  ($30.00 certificate).  In room "recipe for romance" tray will await you upon your return to your room, setting the stage for a bubbly experience and dessert for two. Add $20.00/night for Rooms #7 & 8.  One night package - $206.00.

Original structure built in 1847 by John Alexander Meadows and enlarged to it’s three story size in 1900. 212 Pollock Street has a rich history of being a private residence, survived the Civil War and an Antique Shop in the 20^th Century. It became New Bern’s First and Foremost Bed & Breakfast in 1980. Located in the heart of the historic downtown and walking distance to area sites, shops, restaurants and waterfront (Union Point Park/Gazebo.

The spacious Gathering room and Breakfast room can be used for small receptions, (16-30 max) showers, luncheons, meetings, family reunions and breakfasts.

Six spacious rooms with private baths offer  queen or/ full/twin combinations.  "Granny’s Attic" offers either 'Memory Lane' - queen sleigh bed accommodations with private bath or a two bedroom suite.  We have had a proposal in Memory Lane in the past.  She said 'yes'.

Gazebo Wedding

Dedicated in the fall of 2004 in Union Point Park, the gazebo will be a popular setting for uniting couples where the Nuese River meets the Trent River.  Reserving in one hour increments for weddings and/or receptions is available thru the park department. Reserving subject to availability and some restrictions may apply.  Wedding parties can arrive by boat.  The possibilities are endless......

Built in 1790 by prominent New Bernian Samuel Chapman, the Attmore Oliver House was enlarged to its present size in 1834. Furnished with 18^th and 19^th century antiques, the house serves as a museum and home of the New Bern Historical Society.
