Settings for Memorable Occasions: Meadows Inn Bed & Breakfast Original structure built in 1847 by John Alexander Meadows and enlarged to it’s three story size in 1900. 212 Pollock Street has a rich history of being a private residence, survived the Civil War and an Antique Shop in the 20th Century. It became New Bern’s First and Foremost Bed & Breakfast in 1980. Located in the heart of the historic downtown and walking distance to area sites, shops, restaurants and waterfront (Union Point Park/Gazebo. The spacious Gathering room and Breakfast room can be used for small receptions, (16-30 max) showers, luncheons, meetings, family reunions and breakfasts. Six spacious rooms with private baths offer queen or/ full/twin combinations. "Granny’s Attic" offers either 'Memory Lane' - queen sleigh bed accommodations with private bath or a two bedroom suite. Gazebo Wedding Dedicated in the fall of 2004 in Union Point Park, the gazebo will be a popular setting for uniting couples where the Nuese River meets the Trent River. Reserving in one hour increments for weddings and/or receptions is available thru the park department. Reserving subject to availability and some restrictions may apply.
